Bollywood action thriller, Zakhmee, directed by Raja Thakur and written by Madan Joshi was released on May 15, 1975. The movie starred Sunil Dutt and Asha Parekh in lead roles while Rakesh Roshan, Johnny Walker, Reena Roy, Jankidas,Helen, Yunus Parvez and Tariq also played importanat characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director Bappi Lahiri while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Anand ( Sunil Dutt ), who is arrested by police on the night of his marraige with Asha ( Asha Parekh ). He is arrested by policein the charge of murdering his business partner. Anand is presented in front of the court but unexpectedly he refuse to say anything in his favour. All are convinced that Anand is the culprit except his wife and his two brothers, Amar ( Rakesh Roshan )and Pawan ( Tariq ). They believes that Anand can not commit this crime at all.

Amar and Pawan decides to do something in order to save Anand. They kidnap Judge Ganguly’s daughter Nisha ( Reena Roy ) and threatens him to give the judgement in the favour of Anand otherwise they will kill his daughter. But little does they knows is that Anand has escaped from the police custody in order to prove his inoocence. Now alongwith Anand, Amar and Pawan are also on a run from police.
