Zakhmi Zameen was an action movie released on September 28, 1990. The movie was directed as well as produced by Mahendra Shah. The major roles in the movie were enacted by Aditya Pancholi, Anu Kapoor, Jaya Prada and Paresh Rawal while the presence of Asrani, Sapna and Ishrat Ali supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Amit Kumar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Lata Mangeshkar, Sudesh Bhosle, Alka Yagnik and Mohammad Aziz.

The genre of the movie Zakhmi Zameen can be guessed from its title that happens to be an action flick. The story of the movie revolves around a wealthy person Thakur Pratap Singh ( Paresh Rawal ) who lives in a palatial house. Though, he lives in a big house but dreams of living in a palace like place similar to the Taj Mahal, which he can build with the help of his architect brother. But for this he now requires to take the possession of his lands and get rid of the villagers.

The problem was faced by the Thakur Pratap when one of the villagers named Mangal ( Aditya Pancholi ) refused to give away their possession to him. Thus Pratap Singh, his brother and their assistants got together to hatch a plan to kill Mangal and other villagers who were opposing them to give their piece of lands. The plan is carried out, and Mangal is at first crippled, and finally brutally killed. Mangal’s son was also killed in the cradle leaving only the mother Radha ( Jayaprada ) alone.
