Bollywood hit romantic movie, Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai, directed by Nasir Hussain was released on December 30, 1981. The movie starred Rishi Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure in lead roles while Amjad Khan, Yogeeta Bali, Kadar Khan, Om Shivpuri, Master Ravi, Birbal, and Yusuf Khan also played important roles in the movie. The superhit music of te film was given by well known music director Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Shailendra Singh, Manna Dey, Rahul Dev Burman, Asha Bhonsle etc. The movie was a box office hit.

The movie starts with wealthy businessman Shekar Nanda ( Kadar Khan ), who learns that his elder son, Ramesh Nanda ( Randhir Kapoor ) is in love with a poor gril Seema ( Arpana Chaudhary ) and wants to marry her. Shekar warns Ramesh but Ramesh still get married with Seema. In anger, Shekar Nanda excludes him from his property. Ramesh goes away from his father and starts living a seperate life alongwith his wife. Ravi Nanda ( Rishi Kapoor ), younger brother of Ramesh, returns home and is told by Shekar Nanda that his elder brother is away on a business trip.

But Ravi somehow learns that Ramesh is now living somewhere else. He decides to go in search of his elder brother and his wife. But he ends up finding that Ramesh and seema are no more alive. He also learns that Seema had given birth to a son and left him in the care of his younger sister, Kanchan ( Padmini Kolhapure ). Ravi somehow meets with Kanchan and instantly falls in love with her. But when Kanchan learns that he is Ramesh’s youger brother, she tries to keep a distance from him.
