If the rumors are to believed Shahrukh Khan has enough of the Knightriders and now is planning to do away with his share in the franchisee. SRK has not been used to defeats with which he has now dealt more than once due to the failure of his team to perform. The team has choked out in close encounters like the one with Rajasthan Royals in the super over.

The team was involved in a controversy before the tournament began owing to their theory of multiple captaincies. Brendon McCullum who was the skipper of the team has offered to quit if their does not make it to the semis which is a very likely case. The team lost the encounter today against the Mumbai Indians making matters worse.

SRK at the beginning of the season dropped the name Kolkata from the team so that he could appeal to a wider audience and boost his profits. That too does not seem to be working and after pulling out all the stocks he has finally decided to sell his entire share in the Knightriders. The three leading contenders in the race to acquire the share are Nokia that is currently sponsoring the team then there is Anil Ambani who wants to buy a team like brother Mukesh ambani.

Apart from this, talks are also on with Sahara group. Initially SRK only wanted to sell apart of his hold in the franchisee but the buyers wanted managerial control for which they needed entire share from SRK. The team that had a respectable finish last year might see their position hit rock bottom this year.
