Mallika Sherawat who has been very popular from the time she entered bollywood because of her kissing spree is now in trouble. This is because that popularity is now getting low beyond the point of no return or at least that is what it seems.

Her recent releases like Ugly and Pagli and Maan Gaye Mughal-e- Azam were expected to fare well at the box office but this was completely not what happened and they are major flops of the year. This has also affected a lot on Mallika’s image not only as a star but has also affected her price.

She reportedly after the success of welcome started asking for price which used to revolve near about 1.25 to around 1.5 crores but this all changed after two back to back flops. She has also been receiving less good offers than what was the case before. This is not only about the price factor only as her acting in both the films was severely criticized by critics from all the sides and this helped a lot in wooing of the best producers on the list considering to sign Mallika in their next venture.

There have been reports that Zee Group was interested in making a film taking her as the main lead female actor and this was the time when she had the price tag of 1.25 crores, but due to incompletion of the script, the project got delayed. Now since there have been loads of things happening in the gap like two back to back flops plus the criticism of her acting skills, Mallika has no other option of accepting the package of 75 lakhs which was offered to her by Zee Group.

The movie is scheduled to start at the end of 2008 now and Mallika is working a lot upon her acting skills as well as her PR to make sure that she still maintains her stand in the mainstream line of actors.
