Hemant Birje and Kimi Katkar starrer bollywood romantic action thriller, Taarzan, was released on December 13,1985. The movie was directed by the B Subash. The other starcast of the movie includes Om Shivpuri, Gautam Sarin, Narendra Nath and Dalip Tahil in important characters. The hit melodious music of the movie was composed by the very famous music director Bappi Lahiri while the songs were beautifully sung by Kishore Kumar, Amit Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Taarzan ( Hemant Birje ) is grown up in the jungles with the animals. His dull life gets exciting when she meets with a beautiful girl named Rubi Shetty ( Kimi Katkar ). Rubi is the daughter of a rich businesmann and is used to live a wealthy lifestyle in the city. She has arrived in the jungle on a trip alongwith her father. But looses contact from her father in the jungle when some animals attackes on their camp at night. She is rescued by Taarzan. Taarzan has been brought up among animals and therefore fails to understand what Rubi tries to tell him.

Taarzan gets attracted towards her and decides to help her in finding her father. After spending some time with Taarzan, Rubi also get attracted towards him and eventually falls in love with him. She decides to stay with him for ever and forgets about locating her father. However, her father manage to locate her and get surprised to see her alongwith Taarzan. She tell him about her love for Taarzan to which her father reluctantly gives his nod. But D K ( Dalip Tahil ), who is her fiancee, refuse to accept this.
