Amitabh Bachchan’s mother and wife of the famous poet Harvansh Rai Bachchan, Teji Bachchan, declared dead at Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai. She was suffering from alzheimer’s disease and some other ailments too. Whole Bachchan family reached the hospital immediately after news broke.

Teji Bachchan was actually the second wife of Harvansh Rai Bachchan as his first wife death happened very early in the short time of their marraige. He got married to Teji in the year 1941. Amitabh bachchan got his acting ability from his mother Teji Bachchan as she was also a very nice actor besides being a very good singer too. She was the main inspiration of her hubby Harvansh Rai Bachchan in most of his work.

After the news of her death came out of the hospital all the family members including Ajitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Bachchan, Abhishek bachchan and Jaya Bachchan reached the hospital immediately.Anil Ambani of Reliance group and chairman of Sahara group, Subroto Rai, also reached there after news broke.

Her body was then taken to ‘Prateeksha’, residence of Bachchan family. Amitabh’s close friend, Amar Singh along with some other actors of bollywood came later to their home. Due to Teji’s illness, some very important functions of the family were remained on low profile including Abhi-Aish much hyped wedding. It’s been a very hard time for the whole Bachchan family.
