Shahrukh Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in a muslim family in Delhi. He did his schooling from St. Columbia’s School and completed Economics Honours from Hansraj College. Later he also studied for a Masters Degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia. He started his acting career by working in the television serials like Fauji and Circus ( directed by his close friend Aziz Mirza ).

He made his debut in bollywood with the film Deewana. However he was in second lead in the film but the movie was proved out to be a huge hit at the box office. And infact he won his first Filmfare award for Best Male Debut category for his brilliant performance in the movie. However his very next movie titled Maya Memsaab was proved out be a big box of controversies for him and to all the other stars as well who also worked in the film.

He shot fame after performing the obsessive lover in Darr and a murderer in Baazigar. His villanious role in both these films were admired by the audience and he won his first Filmfare award for the Best Actor category. Later on he did some low budget films like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Anjaam etc. Then in year 1995, he once again bagged the Filmfare Best Actor award for his performance in the film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge. After that there was no stooping for him and he gave back to back hit films with Yash Chopra’s camp. And then in year 1998 he gave the biggest hit of that year in the form of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He also did films with the megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the form of Mohabbatein and Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gum which were also considered big hits at box office. But his third coming with Big B in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna proved out to be a disaster at box office.
