Former Bollywood actor Rahul Roy maded a successfull debut with romantic film Aashiqui in 1990. However, he failed to maintain the same success with his next films in bollywood. The film also made the careers of Kumar Sanu, Anuradha Paudwal and Nadeem-Shravan. The movie was produced by none other than late singer Gulshan Kumar of T-series. The movie was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and the music of the film was given by the famous duo Nadeem-Shravan. Actress Anu Agarwal did the female lead in the film opposite Rahul Roy. Also Deepak Tijori, Tom Alter and Reema Laago did significant roles in the movie.

The movie was particularly noted for its soulfull and romantic music. Kumar Sanu infact won his first Filmfare award for the title track ‘Saanson ki jaroorat hai jaise‘ of the movie. The story of the movie was based on the love story of two young blood played by Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. The movie had many twist and turns in it which were liked and appreciated by audience and movie proved out to be a huge hit at the box office.

    i love this film & its song.when ever i listen the song of ths film,i remember my love.
    what ever the story of film ,shame story is also in my own life.
