Atif Aslam is a Pakistani singer born in Wazirabad. Atif spent most of his school life in DPS (Divisional Public School) model town before starting his HSc in PAF College, Lahore. Around this time he became interested in music.

On hearing Atif’s soulfull voice, his friends forced him to participate in the singing competition at PAF College Lahore and Sargodha in 1998. He performed there and won the competition. After that there was no stopping for him and he continously bagged many such awards in each and every smester.

Later he met Goher, a guitarist with the help of whom he started his own band, Jal. Atif recorded the song Aadat at Mekal Hassan’s Studio which became a huge hit everywhere. But due to some dispute with the other members of the band, Atif left the band.

Atif Aslam started his singing career in India with the movie Zeher. His song ‘Woh lamhe woh yaadein‘ became a huge hit in Indian market. Later he also created sensations with his new tracks like Tere Bin ( Bas Ek Pal ) and Juda Hoke Bhi ( Kalyug ).
