Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor was born on February 25, 1981 in Mumbai, India. He is a son of famous bollywood actor Pankaj Kapoor. Shahid was first seen on silver screen as a background dancer in one of the song from Akshay Khanna and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Taal. He played his first leading role in Ken Ghosh’s Ishq-Vishk in which he was starred opposite beautiful Amrita Rao. The movie did exceptionally well at the box office and Shahid won Flmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

His next movie was thriller Fida, where he co-starred his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan. But this time the film failed to do well at the box office. Later he gave a series of flop films in the form of Dil Maange More, Shikar, 36 China Town etc. But Priyadarshan’s comedy film Chup Chup Ke proved out to be a moderate success at the box office.

Then came Sooraj R. Barjatya’s Vivah in which he was once again starred opposite Amrita Rao. The film was about the journey of two individuals from engagement to marriage. The movie did well at the box offcie and Shahid’s performance was appreciated by the audiences as well as by the critics. His last release Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met opposite Kareena Kapoor also did well at the box office. And his performance in the role of a dejected young industrialist full of angst and despair was appreciated by audience. He is currently wasiting for his next release, Aziz Mirza’s Kismat Konnection opposite gorgeous Vidya Balan.
