Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan was born as Vishal Devgan on April 2, 1969 in New Delhi, India. He is a son of famous action choreographer, Veeru Devgan. Ajay did his graduation from Mithibai College. He started his career as an action hero in the superhit film Phool Aur Kaante. He won Filmfare Best Debut Award for his performance in the film. After that he was seen in the some other action flicks such as Ek Hi Raasta, Jigar, Dilwale, Vijaypath, Suhaag, Gundaraj etc.

He also worked in a comedy movie Ishq in 1997 for a change. He was accompanied by Kajol, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawal in the film. But the real success came to him in the form of hit romantic movie Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha in whichc he was once again seen opposite Kajol. After the supersuccess of the movie both of the actors got married to each other. Then he won accolades for his brilliant performance in the movie Zakhm. He actually won National Film Award for Best Actor for the film.

Later he did gave many hit movies in the form of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Company, The Legend Of Bhagat Singh. His performance in Rajkumar Santoshi’s The Legend of Bhagat Singh won him his second National Film Award for Best Actor. Then he did films like Yuva, raincot, Omkara etc. Few months back he came with his directional debut U Me Aur Hum and received appreciation for his work by audience.
