Hrithik Roshan was born on 10 January 1974 in reputed Roshan family. He started his career as a child actor in a few films like Asha, Aap Ke Deewane etc. He also worked as an assistant director in films like Karan Arjun and Koyla. And finally in year 2000, he made his debut as a leading actor in bollywood with his father’s superhit film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. He bagged Best Actor and Best Male Debut award at the Filmfare ceremony of that year.

After that Hrithik did many films including Fiza, Mission Kashmir and Yaadein but all of these films failed to succeed at box offcie. But he again shot to fame after the supersuccess of Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham which proved out to be biggest hit overseas. His performance in the film earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at various award ceremonies. His next three films Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Naa Tum Jaano Naa Hum and Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage proved out to be superflop at box office.

But he made a strong comeback with the science-fiction film Koi Mil Gaya, which was once again directed by his father Rakesh Roshan for him. Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya earned him praise by critics for his extraordinary performance in the film. After that he was seen in the home production movie Krrish which was actually a sequel to Koi Mil Gaya. His performance as a superhero was praised by audience and film did well at box offcie. Later he did splendid performance in Dhoom-2 in which he was seen in the role of a thief. His liplock with Aishwarya in the film created controversy which actually benefitted the film. After Dhoom-2, he also did another film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the form of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodhaa Akbar. He played the historical role of Akbar in the movie with Aish playing beautiful Jodhaa in it.
