Former bollywood actress, Karishma Kapoor aka Lolo, was born on June 25, 1974 in Mumbai, India. She is a daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita. Her younger sister Kareena Kapoor is also a bollywood actress. Karishma began her acting career in the year 1991 with the movie Prem Qaidi. The film failed to do well at the box office. She did many films one after other but none of the film did well at the box office. Her first successful flick was Jigar in which she was starred opposite Ajay Devgan. After that she was seen in anothe hit movie titled Anari.

Later she made a hit jodi with Govinda and gave many successful films such as Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural etc. She had a complete makeover in Darmesh Darshan’s Raja Hindustani. She was paired opposite Aamir Khan in the film. She won her first Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance in the film. She also won National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Yash Chopra’s musical hit Dil To Pagal Hai opposite Shahrukh Khan.

She kept on giving many hit films such as Biwi No. 1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi etc. She won her second Filmfare Best Actress Award for her brilliant performance in the movie, Fiza. Her last two films Baaz: A bird in Danger and Mere Jeevan Saathi failed to do well at the box office. She is married to industrialist Sanjay Kapoor and has one daughter named Samaira.
