Beautiful actress Vidya Balan was born on January 1, 1978 in Kerala, India. She did her graduation in Sociology degree from St. Xavier’s College. She began her career with some music videos, soap operas and commercials. Then she finally made her acting debut in bollywood with Parineeta in the year 2005. She won Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her performance in the film.

After that she was seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Lage Raho Munna Bhai opposite Sanjay Dutt. The film went on to become the second highest grossing film of that year. Her next release came in the form of Mani Ratnam’s Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Guru. Vidya played a physical disabled woman in the film. Though Vidya was not the lead actress of the film, but still she won accloades for her performance in the movie.

Her next two films Salaam-e-Ishq and Eklavya: The Royal Guard failed to do well at the box office. But she once again shot to fame after giving superb performances in Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy and Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaan.
