Selecting the best songs of the year 2008 is really a difficult business. Till now year 2008 has given some nice songs to the music lovers. My favourite song definitely has to be this one from the album, Race. This is the most romantic song of the year till now. It has a marvelous music with heart-touching lyrics. The song is rendered by Atif Aslam in his amazing voice.
2) Kehne ko jashn-e-baharaa - Jodha Akbar
Lyrics of this song is really touching and romantic. And the hot pair of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in it provides an extra edge to this song. And if you haven’t heard it at all then you must be totally insane.
3) Jogi aaya - Black & White
The most likeable thing about this song is its simpleness. There is something about this song that makes me want to listen it again and again. Plus this song is blessed by the magical voice of Sukhvinder Singh and Sadhna Sargam.
4) Zara zara touch me - Race
This song works because of seductive video shot on bollywood damsel, Katrina Kaif. This pulse racing song will get you on the dance floor all night. Monali’s voice has done justice with the music of this song.
5) Don‘t i love or do i love you - Superstar
Though the movie did not topped at the box office but this particular did topped the music charts. Adnan Sami and Sunidhi Chauhan rendered this one of the best songs of 2008. It was sweet nice song, with some fine music and lyrics.
6) Aasman ko chukar dekha - Hanuman Returns
It is a simple song with zara hat ke lyrics. It is one of those several songs that has a ’forget everything, have a chuckle, tap your feet mood’ to it. Daler Mehndi has added some extra spoof to it with his extraordinary voice but the song actually works because of its lyrics.
7) One Two Three - One Two Three
This is the title track of the movie with a catchy and danceable tune. The movie got released just a few days back. But the song was on the lips of everyone much before the release of film.
8) Manzar - Sunday
This track brings out a good feeling to it and it’s good for the dance floor. Mahlia Kamath Suraj and Earl Edgar rendered this song perfectly from their side. This is also a cool song to listen.

pehli nazar mein have a good composition and lyrics. but I wish bollywood composers (I know not all) can make their own music. this is a blatant ripoff from a korean songs, the only different is the lyrics.
although I know many if not all bollywood songs are blatant ripoff from music around the world, it’s funny that I still like bollywood.
dont u think ‘zara sa..’ from jannat wud make the cut? its the best song of 2008 so far..
