Ghazal singer, Pankaj Udhas, was born on May 17, 1951 in Gujarat, India. He is the youngest of his two brothers. He did his graduation from St. Xavier’s College in Bombay. His elder brother Manhar Udhas is also working as a playback singer in bollywood while another brother Nirmal Udhas is also a renowned ghazal singer like him.

He was first noticed when he sang the famous song ‘ Chitti aayi hai aayi hai chitti aayi hai ‘ for Sanjay Dutt and Kumar Gaurav starrer Naam. In the year 2006, he was rewarded with the Padma Shri Award by the Government of India. He has done the job of playback singer in many of hit bollywood films.
