Aaj Ke Angaarey was an action movie released in the year of 1988. The movie was directed by Vinod Verma and produced by B Subhash. The key roles in the movie were played by Hemant Birje, Neeta Puri, Archana Puran Singh and Raza Murad while the presence of Om Shiv Puri, Rohini Hattangadi, Shashi Kiran, Jaya Mathur, Ajit Vachchani, Sarla Yogelkar and Nagma supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri and the songs were sung by Alisha Chinoy, Uttara Kelkar and Vijay Benedict.

The story of the movie revolves around Vidya ( Archana Puran Singh ) who is a school-teacher in Love Dale High School. She teaches approximately to 12 children in her class. One day her school was organizing an inter-school competition and the students were required to travel out of town for that. They organized a bus for the travel and all the teachers and students were travelling through it.

The twist in the story comes when their bus was stopped by a group of masked men who took the students for a captive and demanded a ransom for their independence. Somehow Vidya and the children manage to escape, but are caught and imprisoned in an underground cave. They again escaped through a snake hole but this time with the help of one of the masked men ( Hemant Birje ) and found shelter with the Forest Officer Ranjit Singh ( Om Shiv Puri ) and his wife Jaswanti ( Sarla Yogelkar ).
