The action movie Aan - Men at Work was released on June 4, 2004 under the banner of Base Industries Group. The movie was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. The important roles in the film were played by Shatrughan Sinha, Sunil Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal while the roles of Raveena Tandon and Lara Dutta were also significant. Music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Ujwala, Udit Narayan, Shabbir Kumar and Sarika Kapoor.

Aan - Men at Work is a police officer’s delight, the movie highlights every fact of the police life that was hidden to us from their frustration and weakness in using certain rights to their triumph over some law breakers. In spite of these the movie fails to stir the audience due to the weak script. The story is about three dutiful cops Sr. Inspector Vikram Singh ( Shatrughan Sinha ), Appa Kadam Naik ( Sunil Shetty ) and Constable Khalid Ansari ( Paresh Rawal ). While Singh has given up to the corrupt system, Kadam is the encounter specialist and Khalid a bit lively and humorous person.

The three officers are different in attitude and have their own perspective of seeing the situation. They have seen it all and have given up to the corrupt system in this dishonest world. They are fighting the forces of Underworld Don Yusuf Pathan ( Irfaan Khan ) who is getting his support from the corrupted Home Minister Manik Rao ( Manoj Joshi ) and business tycoon Gautam Walia ( Jackie Shroff ). These three people literally rule the city until one day D.C.P. Hari Om Patnaik ( Akshay Kumar ) gets transferred to the Mumbai Crime branch.
