The action movie Aar Paar was released in the year of 1985. The movie was directed as well as produced by Shakti Samanta. The actors in the lead roles were Mithun Chakraborty, Roshni, Meenakshi and Nutan while the supporting roles were enacted by Asit Sen, Utpal Dutt, Manik Dutt, Maya Ghosh and Tarun. The music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Suresh Wadkar and Anuradha Paudwal.

The movie Aar Paar was a great action and social flick that revolved mostly around a man named Ghanshyam alias Gania who lived a poor but happy life with his mother and father Bhuvan in a small fishing town of Raipur. His daily routine of work involves running a ferry boat to fish and sell the fish to a person named Mahesh Manna from whom he has leased the ferry. He has a trade with him and hoped to buy the ferry by using his earnings as small installments.

Mahesh was a greedy person and liked making a fool of other people. When Ghanshyam came to know about this he finishes up his trade with him and takes his deal to another person named Mohammad Bassiruddin. Ghanshyam is in love with Kamli ( Rosina ), the daughter of alcoholic, Basan, and would like to marry her. On the other hand Mahesh also liked her and had an eye on her. The movie takes a turn when one day Kamli was found unconscious in a room.
