Dharmendra and Mala Sinha starrer patriotic action thriller, Ankhen, was released in the year 1968. The movie was written and directed by Ramanand Sagar. The other starcast of the movie includes Sujit Kumar, Nasir Hussain, Mehmood, Jeevan, Madan Puri, Daisy Irani, Lalita Pawar, Kumkum, Zeb Rehman and Madhumati im important roles. The evergreen hit romantic music of the movie was given by the veteran music director Ravi while the songs were beautifully sung by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Manna Dey, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Sunil Mehra ( Dharmendra ) works as a spy for Government of India. He is assigned the job of finding out about the terrorists plan. Sunil’s investigation brings him to Beirut. He meets with a beautiful girl named Meenakshi Mehta ( Mala Sinha ) there, who also works for Government of India. He falls in love with her and Meenakshi too get attrcated towards him. Sunil is then asked to do friendship with Princess Zenab ( Zeb Rehman ) in order to reveal about the terrorist head.

Sunil does so and soon manage to learn that the terrorist group is headed by a guy named Syed. On the otherhand, Syed also reveals about Sunil’s real identity and decides to kill him. The whole Indian organisation get shock to learn that Sunil has been killed by the terrorist. Meenakshi get shattered with the news of Sunil’s death and decides to kill Syed at any cost. But little does she knows is that Sunil is still alive and is trying to collect more evidences against Syed.
