The action film Asambhav was released on July 23, 2004 under the banner of Trimurti Films Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Rajiv Rai and produced by Gulshan Rai. The main roles in the movie were played by Arjun Rampal, Naseruddin Shah, Priyanka Chopra and Sharat Saxena while the presence of Mukesh Rishi and Milind Gunaji supported the film. Music of the film was directed by Viju Shah and the songs were sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Anuradha Sriram, Nayan Rathod, Rajiv Rai and Kavita Krishnamurthy.

Director of the hit movies Tridev, Vishwatma and Gupt, Rajiv Rai returned with the movie Pyar Ishq Aur Mohabbat that didn’t do anything great. Now he is back with Asambhav which is supposed to be a thriller movie. The story is about a spy who is on some secret mission named “Asambhav” in Ticino, Switzerland. A high-ranking diplomat of India ( Mohan Agashe ) is enjoying his holiday in Switzerland with his loving daughter Kinjal ( Dipanita Sharma ). The diplomat and his daughter gets kidnapped by Mabros Mercenaries ( Shahwar Ali ) and his gang.

The gang members hatched a plan to exchange the diplomat with Al-Hamas led by Yuzan ( Mukesh Rishi ) along with $50 million. The Army Headquarters decided to give the responsibility, of bringing the diplomat safely, to the young Captain Aadit Arya ( Arjun Rampal ). On arrival in Ticino, Alisha’s ( Priyanka Chopra ) friend Shilpa gets killed by Ansari and his people. Alisha was worried and ran to Indian Embassy where she met Captain Arya who offered her the most required help. Arya’s friend Atul Bhatnagar ( Jameel Khan ) also offered to help her.
