Bollywood family emotional drama, Aulad, directed by Vijay Sadanah was released in the year 1987. The movie starred Jeetendra and Sridevi in lead roles while Jayapradha, Vinod Mehra, Saeed Jaffrey, Dina Pathak, Asrani, Manmohan Krishna, Bharat Bhushan, Ramesh deo and Vikas Anand also played significant roles in the film. The melodous music of the film was composed by the well known music director Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were beautifully crooned by Mohammed Aziz, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kishore Kumar, Usha Mangeshkar etc.

Young and handsome Anand ( Jeetendra ) get married to beautiful Devki ( Sridevi ). The couple meets with another newly wed couple, Vicky ( Vinod Mehra ) and Yasodha ( Jayapradha ) during one of their train journey. Devki has a child while Yasodha is expecting a baby soon. Unfortunately the train meets with an accident. Anand and Yasodha manage to survive in the accident while Devki and Vicky are annouced dead by police. Yashoda gets more devastated when she also loses her child. Anand ask the doctor to replace his son with the dead child of Yasodha.

Yasodha returns to her home alongwith Anand’s child and is in the disbelief that her child is alive. On the otherhand, Anand get settled in abroad. Years later he returns to India for a business assignment and get shocked to see that Devki is still alive. He brings her home and when she ask him about their child, he tells her the truth. She decides to bring her child back. But Yasodha is in no mood to accept the fact that the child does not belong to her.
