The action movie Balwaan was released on September 11, 1992. The movie was directed by Deepak Anand and produced by Raju Mavani. The lead roles in the movie were played by Sunil Shetty, Neena Gupta, Divya Bharti and Tinu Anand while the supporting roles were played by Danny Denzongpa, Anjana Mumtaz and Ishrat Ali. The music of the film was directed by Mahesh Kishore and the songs were sung by Abhijeet, Sapna Mukherjee, Aroon Bakshi, Asha Bhosle, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Alisha Chinoy and Vinod Rathod.

The action movie Balwaan was no different from the other action movies being produced in the Bollywood and with the lead role played by the actor Sunil Shetty; one can easily guess what the genre of the movie is. The movie was directed by Deepak Anand who has been producing action movies for quite some time now. The story of the movie revolves around the central character Arjun Singh ( Sunil Shetty ) who is a poor guy from the same background.

Arjun comes from a not so good family but lives with her mother ( Anjana Mumtaz ) and sister  in the small house. But despite of all these he is still helpful and honest and this quality of his puts him in danger as he finds himself in conflict with Bhai ( Danny Denzongpa ) who is a no torious gangster of the town. Bhai orders the people to not to interact with Arjun and his family and as a result his family becomes alienated. His sister gets raped and his mother passes away, this thing puts him in serious war against Bhai.
