The social film Beshaque was released in the year of 1981. The movie was directed by Kashinath and produced by R Somnath. The major roles in the movie were played by Mithun Chakraborty, Amrish Puri, Yogita Bali and Jalal Aga while the supporting roles were played by Sonia Sahni, Shakti Kapoor and Mohan Choti. The music of the film was directed by Usha Khanna while the songs were sung by Usha Khanna and Suresh Wadkar.

The movie Beshaque was a social crime drama that revolved mostly around a man named Shyam Sunder ( Vinod R. Mulani ) who lived a wealthy and comfortable life with his widowed step mother Nirmala ( Sonia Sahni ) in a small town in India. He fell in bad company and thus often indulged in drinking alcohol and womanizing. He had a habit of asking money from his mother. The movie takes a turn when one day Lucky ( Mohan Choti ) informs Nirmala that he has seen Shyam’s dead body.

Nirmala calls the police to investigate the matter but found nothing except the carcass of the beer and eventually decide that Shyam may have gone to Goa without informing Nirmala. Soon there was an entry of another man named Prakash ( Mithun Chakraborty ) who identifies himself as the son of Lucknow-based Tehsildar Somshekhar. He meets with Nirmala and tells her that he is Shyam’s friend and business partner but an author by the profession.
