Betaj Badshah was an action drama released on April 8, 1994. The movie was directed by Iqbal Durrani and produced by Pranlal Mehta. The major roles in the movie were played by Raj Kumari, Jay Mehta, Mamta Kulkarni and Shatrughan Sinha while the presence of Mukesh Khanna, Gulshan Grover and Prem Chopra supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the songs were sung by Poornima, Kumar Sanu, S.P.Balasubramaniam, Sadhana Sargam and Sudesh Bhosle.

The story of the movie completely revolves around Raja Prithviraj ( Raj Kumari ) who is well known for his fairness, justice, and fair play over a large rural territory in India. What he said is just like something written on the stone and his words are the last words which no one dares to cross. His words are like a law.

Prithviraj has a beautiful daughter Tejaswini ( Mamta Kulkarni ) who lives with her father in their exclusive palace. Years later, she is now grown up and goes to college. She also owns a pet cheetah and one day comes across with handsome young fellow collegian Arjun ( Jay Mehta ). After many misunderstandings and arguments both fall in love with each other. When Prithviraj comes to know about him, he invites him to his palace, insults him and asks him to not to see his daughter again ever.
