The action movie Choron Ki Barat was released on May 23, 1980 under the banner of Citizen Films. The movie was directed by Harmesh Malhotra and produced by A K Nadiadwala and Salim A Calcutta Walla. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Shatrughan Sinha, Danny Denzongpa, Neetu Singh and Ranjeet while Jeevan, Jagdeep, Ajit, Prema Narayan and Heena Kausar were also there in the movie. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Manna Dey, Shailendra Singh, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Manna Dey.

The movie Choron Ki Barat was an action movie that revolved mostly around a lady named Anju ( Neetu Singh ) who lived a comfortable and wealthy life with her father Dhanraj ( Ajit ) on their privately owned island. She was thus like the spoilt rich daughter of her father. She studied in a college and like playing football but she had a habit of getting involved in brawls with other girls in the college rather than making names in the sport she loved.

The story of the movie takes a turn when one day she comes across a man named Shekhar ( Shatrughan Sinha ). Both liked each other and fell in love with each other. Thus she invited him to work under her father on her island. He hired Shekhar and also wanted him to marry his daughter but before that could happen the movie takes a turn when six men arrive on the island secretly. These men were people who were fooled by Dhanraj few years ago.
