Bollywood family drama, Dada, directed by Jugal Kishore was released in the year 1979. The movie starred Vinod Mehra and Bindiya Goswami in lead roles while Ramesh deo, Amjad Khan, Jeevan, Raza Murad, Madhu Malini, Jagdeep, Shashi Puri, Pallavi Joshi, Satyendra Kapoor, Jayshree T. and Indrani Mukherjee also played important roles in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was composed by none other than female music director Usha Khanna while the songs were rendered by Mohammed rafi, Shailendra Singh, K. J. Yesudas and Suman Kalyanpur.

The movie starts with a guy named Moti ( Vinod Mehra ), who lives awealthy lifestyle alongwith his parents. His father Dharamdas ( Satyendra kapoor ) is convinced by his freind, Bihari ( Jeevan ) that his wife is responsible for his bad luck in business. Dharamdas then ask his wife to leave the house alongwith Moti. Moti’s mother gives him a new name, Jeetu and starts bringing him up on her own. Years later, Jeetu is now a grown up guy and working as a mechanic in Alibhai Motor. Jeetu meets with a beautiful girl named Kamini ( Bindiya Goswami ) and falls in love with her.

Kamini tells her Bhabhi about Jeetu and ask for her permission to get married with him. Kamini and her Bhabhi arrives at Jeetu’s house to meet with him. Kamini’s bhabhi get shocked to see the Jeetu, who exactly resembles the killer of her husband. Jeetu is then arrested by police in the charge of Kamini’s brother’s murder. Jeetu is sentenced to death by court but still Kamini is unknown to the fact that why Jeetu killed her brother?
