The romantic comedy Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin was released on July 20, 1990. The movie was directed by Y Nageshwar Rao and featured Aamir Khan, Khushboo, Madhuri Dixit and Satyen Kappu in the lead roles. The other significant roles were played by Beena, Dinesh Hingoo, Jainendra and Jaya Mathur while roles of Narendra Nath and Yunus Parvez were also important. Music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the songs were sung by Amit Kumar, Sadhana Sargam, Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu.

The title of the movie is very suggestive that the movie is a romantic movie along with being a comic flick. The movie was directed by the famous director Y Nageshwar Rao who has also directed several movies earlier. The story of this romantic and comic movie revolves around two people Anita ( Madhuri Dixit ) who is a model, and Ajay Sharma ( Aamir Khan ) who is a photographer. Both the persons are working for the same agency. The twist in the movie comes when Ajay has fallen for her and thinks that she also love him.

But as usual the irony is that Anita considers Ajay as just her good friend and nothing more than it. Meanwhile, her parents let her engage with Vikram ( Jainendra ) and the marriage is going to take place soon. Ajay still believes that Anita loves him and thus he also started making plans for their marriage. Now the story of the movie is just the steps taken by Anita to control Ajay’s obsession with her else the consequences will surely affect the lives of some people.
