The social romantic movie Dil Dosti Etc has been released on September 28, 2007 under the banner of Holi Cow Pictures. The movie has been directed by Manish Tiwary and produced by Prakash Jha. The leading actors in the film were Shreyas Talpade and Nikita Anand while the charcters of Ishita Sharma, Smriti Mishra, Imaad Shah and Dinesh Kumar were also important. The music has been directed by Siddharth, Suhas and Agnee while the songs were sung by Hamza Faruqui, Suraj Jagan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Labh Jajua, Aarti Ankalikar and Mona Sarkar.

The movie is focused at the students who are currently studying in a college. A student what actually need is dil, dosti and little bit of other things which the story of the movie will tell you. The story of the movie is about two guys studying in Delhi University, one of them is a hosteller named Apurv ( Imaad Shah ) and belongs to the well to do family. The other guy Sanjay Mishra ( Shreyas Talpade ) who is an outsider, a Bihari, having no sense of fashion. The two guys are completely different in their attitudes and nature.

Sanjay, on one hand, is focused and dedicated to his work and want to achieve his production goals whereas Apurv, on the other hand, is an aimless soul, having loads of money but was missing the meaning of his life. The three other characters in the film were a prostitute Vaisali ( Smriti Mishra ) that provides a stable story to the film, a school going girl Kintu ( Ishitta Sharrma )and a wealthy model Prerna ( Nikita Anand ). Vaisali is a beautiful prostitute that has decided to never get an emotional attachment with her customers. Prerna desired to be an internationally claimed model.
