Ek Chalis Ki Last Local was a comedy film released on May 18, 2007 under the banner of Quartet Films. The movie was directed by Sanjay Khanduri and produced by Gurunath. The lead artists in the film were Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia while Deepak Shirke, Vinay Apte and Snehal Dhabi played supporting roles. The music directors of the film were Dj Aqeel, Sanjeev, Xulfi and Sandesh Shandilya while the songs were sung by Alisha Chinoy, Sonu Nigam, Anoushka, Xulfi, Sandesh Shandilya and Rashmi.

The movie is directed by Sanjay Khanduri who makes his debut with this film. The movie revolves around two strangers who have missed their last local train. The movie is full of confusion and this creates a series of comic drama and also adds thrill to the film. The story of the movie is about a call center executive Nilesh ( Abhay Deol ) and shows that how missing a train can be costly in his life. After missing the train at 1:40 am to Vikhroli, the strangers have to spend two and a half hours for the next train.

Nilesh and Madhu ( Neha Dhupia ) missed the same train and incidentally the autos were also on the strike that day. So it was very hard for them to spend the spare time and this is why they got along and went to a desi bar to spend the remaining time. These 150 minutes changed their life completely as one thing led to another. Nilesh belonged to a middle class family but appear triumphant with two and a half crores. The movie throws several twists ant turns that makes it interesting and thrilling. You should be able to guess the remaining story by the tagline of the movie Dhayi Ghante Mein Dhayi Crore.
