Bollywood romantic movie, Faasle, directed by Yash Chopra was released on September 18, 1985. The movie starred Sunil Dutt and Rekha in lead roles while Farooq Sheikh, Deepti Naval, Farha Naaz, Alok Nath, Nikita Shah, Raj Kirabn, Rohan Kapoor, Javed Khan, Rohan Kapoor and Huma Khan also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by Hariprasad Chaurasia and Shiv Kumar Sharma in collaboration while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Pamela Chopra, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with young and handsome, Vijay ( Rohan Kapoor ) who goes on a trip to Shimla alongwith his friends. There he meets with a beautiful girl named Chandni ( Farha Naaz ) and instantly falls in love with her. Chandani too gets attracted towards him. They both decides to get married with each other. Then they returns to their home. They then decides to introduces themselves to their respective families. Vijay has an unpoeasant encounter with a guy named Vikram ( Sunil Dutt ).

Chandani then introduces Vijay to his parents. Vijay get shocked to learn that Vikarm is her father. Vikram also identifies Vijay as the guy with whom he had an unpleasant encounter a day before. Vikram refuse to accept Vijay as his son-in-law and forbids Chandani from seeing him again. What Vijay and Chandani will do now?
