The family drama Garibon Ka Daata was released on May 26, 1989. The movie was directed by Ramesh Ahuja and produced by Rajiv Kumar. The major roles in the movie were enacted by Mithun Chakraborty, Kader Khan, Bhanu Priya and Asrani while the roles of Prem Chopra, Sumeet Sehgal, Divya Rana, Aruna Irani, Shakti Kapoor and Lalita Pawar were also important. The female lead in the film was played by Bhanu Priya who acted in the films like Davpech, Mar Mitenge while her first movie as an actress was Khudgarz released in 1987.
