Ghar Dwar was a family drama released in the year of 1985. The movie was directed by Kalpataru and produced by Mohanji Prasad and S K Jain. The lead roles in the film were played by Sachin, Shoma Anand, Raj Kiran and Ashok Saraf while the presence of Tanuja, Kader Khan, Shreeram Lagoo, Asha Lata, Jay Shree T, Tun Tun, Brahmachari and Jugnu supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Chitragupta while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar.

Ghar Dwar was a family drama that revolved mostly around a man named Dhanraj that has a loving family comprising of his brothers Chander ( Raj Kiran ) and Ketan ( Sachin ), his sister Asha and wife Savitri ( Tanuja ). Dhanraj wished that his brothers Ketan and Chander could fetch themselves better jobs so that they could stand on their feet. But to make them stand for themselves he was required to work and earn more.

Thus Dhanraj decided to do part time job in order to pay for their education. But the twist in the story was that he was not earning enough despite of his part time job and thus one of his two brothers could study at a time. At the same time, Ketan fell ill which made Chander do the studies and become an engineer. Chander also got married to the only daughter Chanda ( Shoma Anand ) of a millionaire. Chanda and her mother were humiliated by Chander’s family much to Chander’s disliking.
