The romantic action movie Ghulam was released on June 19, 1998. The movie was directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The lead roles in the movie were played by Aamir Khan, Deepak Tijori, Rani Mukherjee and Sharat Saxena while Akshay Anand and Rajit Kapoor were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Jatin Pandit and Lalit Pandit while the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Aamir Khan and Alka Yagnik.

The movie Ghulam was an action movie directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by the Bhatt camp. The story of the movie revolves all about an aspiring boxer Sidharth ( Aamir Khan ) who wanted to become a big guy in his life. He has a cousin Jai ( Rajit Kapoor ) who works for a gangster Raunak Singh ( Sharad Saxena ) and wanted some manpower to support his activities. He then hires Sidharth to do his work for him which was to collect a ‘hafta’ from the local residents.

Sidharth loved and admired his father the most who was a freedom fighter and whom he saw falling to the ground as dead. Sidharth idealized his father but it was his upbringing that made him a local tapoori. He soon across a young and beautiful girl Alisha ( Ranee Mukherjee ) when there was a race between Sidharth and the gang leader Charlie ( Deepak Tijori ). Sidharth also meets Hari whose idealism reminded hms of his father. Soon Sidharth and Alisha fall in love with each other. Hari’s social work in the community possessed a threat to Raunak Singh’s evil empire.
