Bollywood fantasy flick, Hatim Tai, directed by Babubhai Mistri and written by Zafar Rahi was released on April 20, 1990. The movie was produced by Ratan Mohan. The movie starred Jeetendra and Sangeeta Bijlani in lead roles while Sonu Walia, Amrish Puri, Satish Shah, Alok Nath and Vivek Taq also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the music director duo Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were crooned by Shabbir Kumar, Mohammed Aziz, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with Hatim Tai ( Jeetendra ), who is famous for his kind hearted nature and courage. Hatim learns that a girl in his town has a curse put on her that whomever marries her will die. Hatim decides to help her and learns that he will be able to free the girl from the curse only after solving seven questions. Hatim and his friend, ( Satish Shah ) starts their journey for learning the answers of the seven difficult and dangerous questions.

Hatim also reveals that after solving these seven questions, he will able to release a fairy too who has turned into a stone. In the process of solving theses seven questions, Hatim and his freidns, faces several difficulties and also befriends some good persons as well. Whether hatim will be able to solve all the seven questions or not?
