Jaanam Samjha Karo was a romantic movie released on April 2, 1999. The movie was directed by Andaleb M Sultanpuri and produced by Bubby Kent. The main roles in the movie were played by Salman Khan, Monica Bedi, Urmila Matondkar and Shakti Kapoor while the presence of Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Jaspal Bhatti supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Ila Arun, Kamal Khan, Jaspinder Narula, Alka Yagnik, Hema Sardesai and Kumar Sanu.

The movie Jaanam Samjha Karo was directed by Majrooh Sultanpuri’s son and featured the pair of Salman Khan and Urmila Matondkar for the first time on the screen. The story of the movie is quite common and revolves around a rich guy, not less than a playboy, Rahul ( Salman Khan ) who happens to fall in love with a nightclub dancer Chandini ( Urmila Matondkar ). He does whatever was required to impress her and takes the help of his secretary Tubby ( Jaspal Bhatti ).

The nightclub dancer Chandini at first didn’t notice Rahul and resisted his efforts to impress her but as the movie progresses she finds that she also has an attraction for him. The rich alcoholic guy Rahul also starts improving and leaves all his bad habits gradually. The movie seemed quite dull but it was Salman and Urmila and their acting performances that made the movie stand a chance. The movie was directed by a new director who managed to direct the movie in the second half better than the first one. The movie had just two things to watch out for, semi interesting plot and overweight Tubby.
