The social movie Jhoom Barabar Jhoom was released on June 15, 2007 and bannered under Yash Raj Films. The movie was directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Aditya Chopra. The actors in lead roles were Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta while the roles of Amitabh Bachchan, Shruti Seth and Lara Dutta were also important. The music of the film had been directed by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonca while the songs were sung by Neeraj Shridhar, Zubeen Garg, Alisha Chinoy, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, K K and Sukhwinder Singh.

The movie actor Rikki Thukral ( Abhishek Bachchan ) is a small town guy from Bhatinda but doing great in Southall. Rikki came to Southall with a dream in his eyes; he wanted to become a rich and famous person. He came across Huffy Bhai who was from Karachi and didn’t mind lifting his kurta at any place. Rikki was not a crook but was making hay by having his commission set. Anaida Raza ( Lara Dutta ) was a nymph and worked as an Assistant Manager at The Ritz Hotel in Paris. Alvira Khan ( Preity Zinta ) wanted a good and smart match for her and this is what for she always prayed to God.

Steve Singh ( Bobby Deol ) is a rich and dashing partner of the London’s famous firm Singh & Smith Law firm. Though Punjabi by birth, he is more a Britisher now. Rikki and Alvira were waiting at a train station so to kill time they started sharing their personal stories. Rikki told her that he met his fiancé Anaida at Ritz in Paris. Soon they both fell in love with each other. Alvira told him that she found her Mr. Right at Madame Tussaud’s when her life was saved by him from a falling wax model of Superman. Their stories created a quadrangle.
