The action movie Jurrat was released on December 29, 1989. The movie was directed by David Dhawan and produced by Rajendra Kumar. The actors in the lead roles were Shatrughan Sinha, Amala, Kumar Gaurav and Anit while the roles of Amrish Puri, Kiran Kumar and Bharat Kapoor were also important. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Mohammad Aziz, Lata Mangeshkar and Alka Yagnik. The lyrics of the movie were given by Anand Bakshi.

The movie Jurrat was an action flick that revolved around a man named Abdulla Roti ( Yunus Parvez ) who was the first person ever to challenge the underworld don of Bombay Kama ( Amrish Puri ). This thing was not liked by the don and thus Abdulla’s life was cut short when a bomb exploded in his bakery shop in Bandra. This was not all, Inspector Ram Singh ( Shatrughan Sinha ) also challenged the don by arresting one of his associates Girdhar ( Roopesh Kumar ), and bring him to Court.

Though Ram Singh arrested the criminal but the result was that he himself was charged with contempt of court and was suspended from his duty. When he returned home, he was shocked to see the lifeless bodies of his wife, Savitri ( Ranjeeta Kaur ), and son, Sunny. Ram was unable to find any proof against Kama and thus turns towards alcohol. Then there was Kama’s associate Joseph ( Raj Kiran ) who challenged him by running away with a suitcase full of money with his girlfriend Julie ( Anita Raj ).
