Kabrastan was a horror movie released in the year of 1988. The movie was directed by Mohan Bhakri and Ramesh Lakhiani while it was produced by Mohan Bhakri. The significant roles in the movie were played by Javed Khan, Hemant Birje, Kamna and Kunika while Raza Murad, Jagdeep, Amjad Khan, Huma Khan and Satish Kaul were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Uttam Jagdish while the songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Shailendra Singh.

Kabrastan was a famous horror movie of its time and did well to grip the audience for a longer period of time. There had been very few horror movies earlier but this one was a good flick. The story of the movie revolves around a married man who has an affair with another married woman. The woman’s husband came to know about her extra affair which made him displeased. He then plans to throw acid on her face so that she becomes disfigured all her life.

The husband proceeds as it was planned but the twist in the story comes when the woman’s lover quickly responds by taking out a gun and shooting at the bottle of acid, which gets smashed in the hands of the husband and thus lands on the husband’s face thereby disfiguring him. He then shoots him and then both the lovers bury him inside the ground. The husband then returns in the form of a ghost to haunt his wife and her lover who are actually his killers.
