Kabul Express was an action thriller movie that was released on December 15, 2006 under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The movie was directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra. The main roles were played by Arshad Warsi and John Abraham while supporting roles were played by Salman Shahid and Hanif Humghum. The music of the film was directed by Raghav Sachar and Julius Packiam and the songs were sung by Raghav Sachar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shubha Mudgal and K K.

The story of the movie gives the beautiful outlook of war raged Afghanistan, its people and their culture. The harsh aspect of Afghanistan is depicted by five main characters in the film- two Indian Journalists, an American Photojournalist, one Afghan and one Pakistani. Suhel Khan ( John Abraham ) and Jai Kapoor ( Arshad Warsi ) are two Indian journalists on mission of having an interview with Taliban. Imran Khan Afridi ( Salman Shahid ) was a soldier of Taliban who was captured and tortured. He wanted to flee to his native country Pakistan.

Khyber ( Hanif Hum Ghum ) plays the proud Afghan who had seen the rise and fall of his country. Jessica Beckham ( Linda Arsenio ) was an American reporter who became ready to risk her life just to photograph the Taliban. After attack of 9/11 the existence of Talibans is now under threat from the Americans. Suhel and Jai on reaching Afghanistan find a driver Khyber who not only helps them in their mission but also acts as their translator. Imran asks them to become their guide as only through this way he could cross the border. During their journey he reveals his memories of the past.
