Suniel Shetty and Tabu starrer suspense action thriller, Khanjar, was released on June 27, 2003. The movie was written by S. Khan and directed by Chander Sharma. The other starcast of the movie includes Archana Puran Singh, Gulshan Grover, Laxmikant Berde, Mohan Joshi, Pankaj Dheer, Kunika, Anil Nagrath, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Harish Patel also played important roles in the film. The music of the movie was directed by the music director duo Amar Biswas and Utpal Biswas while the songs were sung by Mohammad, Anjali Nadkarni, Usha Timothy, Aarti Mukherjee etc.

Kumar ( Mohan Joshi ) is a wealthy businessman living a happy life alongwith his pregnant wife and two sons, Raja ( Suniel Shetty ) and Ajay ( Prithvi ). Kumar reveals that Ajay and the child in his wife’s womb is actually not his childs. He learns that his wife is having an extramarital affair with his emplyee, Sadashiv Khanna ( Chander Sharma ). But before he could confront Sadashiv he kills himself and left a note blaming Laxmi for all what happened between them. Kumar throws Laxmi out of his house alongwith Ajay and takes Raja with him.

Laxmi re-locate to Bombay alongwith Ajay and there she gives birth to a child. She names her child, Komal. Years later, Ajay gets a job offer from Shimla. Laxmi refuse to allow him to go there as she does not want him to know about his past. But Ajay somehow convince her that he will be okay there. There he meets with Raja ( Suniel Shetty ), but unknown tothe relationship between them. Raja is in love with a beautiful girl named Shilpa ( Tabu ). Then starts the story of a killer who kills people on the 13th of every month.
