The action drama Khoon Ki Pukar was released in the year of 1978 under the banner of T V Films. The movie was directed by Ramesh Ahuja and produced by Tahir Hussain. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Vinod Khanna, Pran, Shabana Azmi and Iftekhar while Amjad Khan, Aruna Irani, Reeta Bhaduri, Birbal and Chandrashekhar were also there in the movie. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar.

The movie Khoon Ki Pukar was an action drama that managed to grip the audience for a long time. The movie revolved mostly around Dr. Vidya Bhushan ( Pran ) whose life took a drastic turn when his wife was killed and son was kidnapped. After the incidents he decided to be a priest and spend his entire life in the temple praying and hoping that his son will return one day. His life takes a turn for good when one day he comes across a bandit named Sher Singh.

Sher Singh ( Vinod Khanna ) was wounded and was escaping from the police when he met Vidya and asking for help. He not only heals his wounds but also shields him from the clutches of police. Vidya tells the people around that his name is Amrit. Gradually Amrit recovers and comes across a girl named Shalu ( Shabana Azmi ) with whom he fell in love with. But Vidya didn’t know that he was actually interested in the gold jewelry hidden in a secret underground chamber below the temple.
