Bollywood yesteryear romantic movie, Mere Huzoor, written and directed by Vinod Kumar was released in the year 1968. the movie starred Raaj Kumar, Mala Sinha and Jeetendra in lead roles while Johnny Walker, Laxmi Chayya, Indira, Noor Jehan, Surekha, Madhumati, Meenakshi, Shefali and K. N. Singh also played important roles in the film. The melodious evergreen music of the film was composed by the veteran music director duo Shankar-Jaikishen while the songs were beautifully crooned by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Manna Dey etc. The movie was a big hit of that time and is sill remembered for its romantic hit songs.

Nawab Salim ( Raaj Kumar ) has a bad reputation among the society because of soem of his bad habits. Akhtar Hussain ( Jeetendra ) saves Nawab Salim’s life and gets a job in his firm. Akhtar meets with a beautiful girl named Saltanat ( Mala Sinha ) and falls in love with her. On the otherhand, Nawab Salim also falls in love with her sister’s friend, which is no one other than Saltanat. Nawab Salim decides to leave all his bad habits for marrying Saltanat and sends her sister to give his marraige proposal to Salatanat’s dad. But Saltanat rejects his marraige proposal as she is in love with Akhtar.

Soon Saltanat and Akhtar get married to each otherleaving behind heartbroken Salim. Saltanat gives birth to a son and Salim becomes very affectionate with the child. Akhtar is then trapped by a courtsen and when Saltaant revelas about this, Akhtar gives divorce to her. Salim provides shelter to Saltanat and her son. Akhtar’s mother ask Saltanat to marry Salim as there is no chance of Akhtar to return. Saltanat after intial resistance agrees to marry Salim and they get married. But Salim ensures her that he will never try to force her to love him. What is the end of this triangle love story?
