The social thriller Meri Awaaz Suno was released on December 18, 1981. The movie was directed by S V Rajendra Singh and produced by G A Seshagiri Rao. The major roles in the movie were played by Jeetendra, Kader Khan, Hema Malini and Ranjeet while the supporting roles were played by Tamanna, Parveen Babi, Shakti Kapoor, Vijay Arora, Urmila Bhatt and Rajan Haksar. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle.

The movie Meri Awaaz Suno was a famous social thriller film that was liked by many people watching the film. The story of the movie revolved mostly around a man named Sushil Kumar ( Jeetendra ) who lived a middle-class lifestyle in Riksapur in the District of Bhagalpur. He lived with his family consisting of widowed mother Kamini ( Urmila Bhatt ), an unmarried sister, Shobha, and his pregnant wife, Sunita. Shobha also fall in love with a man named Kumar.

Shobha introduces Kumar to her family and gets the approval to marry him from her mother and soon they got married. The movie takes a turn when day Shobha disappears. They find that she has been kidnapped by her husband who belonged to a gang of women kidnappers. Sushil was desperate to find Shobha and thus gets a job with Police as a Sub-Inspector and started working on the case. Thereafter he was assigned the case of catching dangerous criminals.
