The action crime movie Meri Zubaan was released in the year of 1989. The movie was directed by Shibbu Mitra and produced by Veena Sharma and Vikas. The key roles in the movie were played by Shashi Kapoor, Farha, Mithun Chakraborty and Kimi Katkar while the roles of Amjad Khan, Tanuja, Ranjeet, Vinod Mehra, Rakesh Bedi and Beena were also significant. The music of the film was directed by Anu Malik while the songs were sung by Asha Bhosle, Anu Malik, Mohammad Aziz, Anuradha Paudwal and Alisha Chinoy.

The title of the movie Meri Zubaan comes from the name of a publication called “Meri Zubaan” in the movie. The movie starts when the editor and the owner of the publication named Vikram Singh ( Vinod Mehra ) goes missing and was believed dead. The reason why he goes missing is because he has tried to expose some big goons in the city through his publication. He has a son named Krishna ( Mithun Chakraborty ) and wife ( Tanuja ) who were left behind when he goes missing.

Vikram’s wife loses her mind due to all the tragic incidents and then was admitted in the mental hospital but her son matured with time and wanted to continue what his father started. Krishna was liked by a petty thief and a bar dancer Baby ( Farha ) but he didn’t want to fall in love with her. However he revises his opinion when he comes to know that she is the key behind his mother’s mental state of mind. She helps him in curing his mother and comes to know that her father was Ranjeet Mehra ( Ranjeet ).
