Bollywood thriller movie, Mitti, written and directed by Iqbal Durrani was released in the year 2001. The movie starred Ferdaus Ahmed and Sharbani Mukherjee in lead roles while Raju Marwani, Ragini Sinha, Rani Rajkumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Ravish Dobani, Arif Zakaria, Manish Garg, Praveen Patel and Meghna Sane also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was composed by the music director, Aadesh Srivastava and Monty Sharma in collaboration while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Anuradha Paudwal, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sonu Nigam, Mohammed Aziz, Abhijeet etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Deva ( Ferdaus Ahmed ), who decides to find the notorious gangster, Pagla Jaan ( Mukesh Tiwari ), when one of his goon brutally molest Ganga. Deva manage to locate that goon and kills him brutally. He then moves out from there leaving behind the dead body on the street. Police starts their investigation about this unknown killer who performed muder in such a brutall way. On the otherhand, Pagla also sends his goons to find about this killer.

Deva is now on a run from police and Pagla’s goons. Pagla Jaan manage to reveal about Deva. Now Deva has to keep himself safe from Pagla’s goons and the police force. Situation gets even worse for Deva, when Pagla abducts his family members and ask him to come in front of him other wise he will murder his whole family. Now Deva has left with no choice then to come in front of Pagla.
