The movie Naqaab has been released on July 13, 2007 under the banner of Tips Music Films. The thriller mystery has been directed by Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla and produced by the duo of Kumar S Taurani and Ramesh S Taurani. The main roles were played by Bobby Deol, Urvashi Sharma and Akshaye Khanna while Vishal Malhotra and Archana Puran Singh also played supporting roles. The music of the film has been directed by Pritam Chakraborty and the songs were sung by Javed Ali, Alisha Chinoy, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and Zubeen Garg.

The movie Naqaab is full of several twists and turns at different places and it seems that the duo of Abbas-Mustan had developed a image of producing thriller movies. The movie seems a triangle love story but with twists. The actors of Humraaz, Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna loved the same girl in this movie, yet it is some different movie. Vicky Malhotra ( Akshaye Khanna ) is young guy out of work for a long time now and wanted to become an actor. Sophie ( Urvashi Sharma ) had no problems in having a live in relationship with a millionaire but needed her share of love.

Karan Khanna ( Bobby Deol ) is the millionaire man who needed some spice in his life. Sophie is beautiful middle classed girl engaged to the millionaire Karan. Someday she came across Vicky Malhotra who showers love upon her. She also started feeling same for him and this is when her relationships with Karan started getting worse. The movie also showed the pasts of the characters. The suspense and climax in the movie is just awesome and will keep the audience guessing.
