Om Jai Jagadish was a family drama released on July 19, 2002 under the banner of Puja Films. The movie was directed by Anupam Kher and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The key roles in the movie were played by Waheeda Rehman, Mahima Choudhary, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan while the roles of Urmila Matondkar and Abhishek Bachchan were also important. Music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Abhijeet and Kavita Krishnamurthy.

Om Jai Jagadish was a social movie directed by actor cum director Anupam Kher and is a story of three brothers Om ( Anil Kapoor ), Jai ( Fardeen Khan ) and Jagadish ( Abhishek Bachchan ). Om, the eldest of the three, is though a simple man but a man with great talent. He works for a music company and has an instinct for finding talent. It was solely because of him that a lift man and a taxi driver turned to big singing sensations. Om loves Ayesha ( Mahima ) who is a VJ at MTV.

Jai is an ambitious guy obsessed with cars, with a dream to build the fastest car that will revolutionize the car industry of the world. When Om recognized his talents, he decided not to compromise on his studies. To send him abroad he took huge loan from his company in hopes that his brother will not let him down. Jagadish is a young college going guy who likes working on his computer when he is not playing around with his friends.
