The comedy movie Phir Hera Pheri was released on June 9, 2006 under the banner of Base Industries Group. The movie was directed by Neeraj Vora and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. Actors in the lead roles were Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, Rimi Sen and Bipasha Basu while the presence of Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav and Sharat Saxena supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and Akbar Sami and the songs were sung by Tulsi Kumar, Rakesh Upadhyay, Shaan, Kunal Ganjawala and Sonu Nigam.

The movie Phir Hera Pheri is a sequel of the earlier produced film “Hera Pheri” and the director has decided to move on with the most of the star cast of that film only. The reason for the movie being so hilarious is that the director has come up with an interesting plot. The movie starts from ehre it left in the prequel Hera Pheri that is all the characters became rich when they saved the daughter of a rich businessman. Raju ( Akshay Kumar ) wanted to increase his money in quick time and thus he comes in contact with Anuradha ( Bipasha Basu ) who promised him to double the money in just 21 days.

Raju took the money from Pappu ( Rajpal Yadav ) who also lost the money which he borrowed from an underworld don Tiwari ( Sharad Saxena ). The don stammers but he also kills and can do anything to get his money back. Now along with Raju, Baburao Apte ( Paresh Rawal ) and Ghanashyam ( Suniel Shetty ) finds themselves in an adventurous journey to find the actual crook and get their money back. The story also included a search for antique rifles and the lost diamonds.
